What’s the mission?

Our mission is to simplify and automate shopping for home and auto insurance by applying technologies that save time and money for both shoppers and insurers. Through smart technology and expert insurance advisory support, we help people find the right coverage without the hassle.

What’s it like at Trellis?

Trellis is a fully remote company, which means we hire incredible people from across the U.S. and Canada and empower them with flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Even though we’re not in the same place, we put a lot of effort into staying connected through regular team touchpoints, virtual events, and a culture that values transparency and collaboration. Our team is smart, driven, kind, and genuinely supportive. Whether you’re building products, supporting customers, or improving operations, you’ll be surrounded by people who care deeply about their work and each other.

How is the team structured?

The “positions” on our team are split between the front, back, and middle lines. Our front line consists of our customer-facing team, which includes our Sales Agents and Customer Service Representatives. Our back line consists of our Research and development team, which includes software Developers, Data Scientists, and Product Gurus. The middle line is our Operations team, which keeps both sides of the ice working together in sync.

What is the compensation structure?

We strive to pay a 75th percentile total compensation, benchmarked against similarly sized companies in the US. This can include a mix of cash, performance bonuses, and equity. Our sales commission is designed to ensure top performers earn more at Trellis than they can anywhere else.
